        D.A. Government Polytechnic, Ongole is established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and named the Polytechnic as DAMACHERLA ANJANEYULU GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC in the year 1982 with three courses viz., Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. During the Academic year 2008, Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering has also been introduced. Now, the college is running 4 courses with an annual intake of 60 seats in each branch. From the Academic Year 2009-10, shift system have been introduced sanctioning seats in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering at 60 in each branch.

             The Polytechnic is having the highly qualified staff according to the norms of the Government. The Polytechnic is fully equipped with Laboratories and Fulfledged Library at its centre. Apart from the curriculum, Physical Education Centre, which is well equipped with the latest fitness material, is also available for the students and staff.

                On Campus placements are being arranged inviting the reputed firms and the students are being selected by the companies and firms at their final year itself.
